“Pimple Popping”

12 inches by 9 inches - pastel pencils on wood 2024

The piece is part of a series on the negative effects of glow up culture. The initial idea was to show an unflattering portrait about how consumed we are as a culture with micro details in our appearance. To challenge myself in this piece I chose to work on a wood panel. It was interesting to see how the art tools responded to this different surface.
